About Tried & Approved
Gregory Jacob Jr. is a men's health advocate, cancer survivor, educator, and faith-driven author based in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2019, at the age of 41, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer — a moment that would reshape his life, his purpose, and his mission. Rather than shrinking in silence, Gregory fought back through faith, discipline, nutrition, and radical transparency about the physical and emotional realities men face but rarely discuss. That journey gave birth to the Tried & Approved™ movement — a brotherhood built to help men heal, rebuild, and rise into the legacy God designed for them. Today Gregory speaks, writes, and coaches with one goal: to ensure no man has to fight alone.
Our Vision
To build a brotherhood where every man—especially those recovering from life‑altering challenges—has a clear, structured path to restoration. We envision men rising with discipline, identity, and faith, equipped to lead their families, honor their stories, and walk in healing and wholeness with confidence and purpose.
Our Philosophy
Tried & Approved is built on the belief that every man deserves a clear, structured path back to himself. Our philosophy is simple: restoration happens when truth, discipline, and faith meet a proven system. This framework reflects the heart of our movement—survivor‑led, culturally grounded, and committed to helping men rebuild confidence.
Our Commitment
Gregory Jacob Jr. is a faith-driven coach, author, educator, and survivor committed to helping men heal, rebuild, and lead with integrity. As a husband, father of four, and grandfather, Gregory brings generational wisdom and lived experience to every tool he creates. He is the architect of the Survivor’s Roadmap movement—a structured, culturally grounded framework that equips men to restore discipline, reclaim identity, and walk in wholeness. Through books, coaching, and survivor-led systems, Gregory empowers men to rise with clarity, purpose, and legacy.
Our Why
We do this work because too many men face sickness, silence, and shame alone. Our why is rooted in restoration—helping men rebuild confidence, reclaim identity, and return to wholeness with clarity and dignity. We believe every man deserves a structured path, a safe brotherhood, and tools that honor his story. This movement exists to strengthen men, restore families, and build generational legacy through truth, discipline, and faith-driven guidance.
